What Is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive FDA-approved outpatient treatment. This cutting-edge option goes a step beyond basic micro-needling treatments; it pairs micro-needling with radiofrequency energy to create achieve increased skin tightening and collagen production.
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body’s healing process. This leads to an increase in the skin’s collagen production rate. Radiofrequency energy uses heat to tighten and remodel collagen fibers while also encouraging new collagen production.
This treatment is able to penetrate beneath many layers of skin and fat in order to reshape and redefine areas of the body. It is safe for every skin tone.
Common Treatment Areas
Morpheus8 can treat virtually any area of the body where lost collagen has caused the formation of deep lines, wrinkles, and loose hanging skin. Although the most common areas for treatment are the face, neck, and chest.
Morpheus8 Procedure Expectations
Once you and your skincare expert have decided that you are a good candidate to receive Morpheus8, the process can begin. Although this treatment is virtually pain-free, you can request a topical anesthetic in order to numb the targeted area, avoiding any discomfort. After the numbing has taken effect, the skincare expert will place the Morpheus8 handpiece against the skin of the targeted area. Microneedling and radiofrequency tightening will then be performed on this area.
These treatments are quick and typically have no post-treatment care directions to follow. You can essentially go about your day without any need for downtime or recovery time. The most common side effects are minor temporary swelling and redness, which can be minimized using ice packs.
Results After Receiving Morpheus8
Results with Morpheus8 can be seen within just days of treatment. These results look very natural and will improve over time as new collagen is produced. Optimal results are typically reached 3 months after your last treatment.
Initially, we recommend 3 monthly treatments per area. For continued improvement, treatments should be performed quarterly.
