What Is the Vbeam + IPL Combo Treatment?
The Vbeam treatment uses laser energy to remove redness and the visible appearance of blood vessels on your skin. It releases an intense burst of laser energy that targets the blood vessels in vascular lesions, eliminating these blood vessels. It is so precise that it is able to effectively avoid damaging the surrounding tissues.
The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment releases pulses of light energy with multiple wavelengths to heat the skin, removing damaged skin cells. This enhances the texture and color of your skin. It addresses sun damage on the face, hands, chest, and neck. It may also work on the brown, red, or splotchy parts of your skin caused by a medical condition.
Combining these two modalities in a single treatment session results in effective skin rejuvenation and restoration of clear, blemish-free skin.
Am I a Good Candidate for the Vbeam + IPL Combo?
People with redness, vascular lesions, uneven skin texture and color, discolored or mottled skin, brown spots, photo aging, sun damage, and rosacea may benefit from the Vbeam + IPL combo. It can also be used on spider veins, birthmarks, acne, and dark spots caused by hormonal changes.
The Vbeam + IPL combo is not recommended for pregnant women. The Vbeam laser and IPL combination is not ideal for patients who have tried Accutane for the past six months or those with cold sores.
Your Vbeam + IPL Combo Consultation
During your personalized consultation at Avani Derm Spa, we will discuss your aesthetic needs and goals. Your skin will then be examined and analyzed.
We will ask about pre-existing skin conditions, allergies, and other medical problems during the initial consultation to determine your suitability. We will also ask about any current medications.
With this information in mind, we will then customize your combination treatment and determine how many sessions you need to achieve your desired results. Aftercare directions will also be given, and questions are encouraged.
The Treatment Session
The client will be asked to lie down or recline to get as comfortable as possible at the start of the session. They will need to wear safety eyewear to prevent the laser light from hitting their eyes. The Vbeam device will be calibrated to parameters that match the conditions the client wants to treat.
The client’s skin will be cleansed, and then we will apply a numbing gel for increased comfort. We will then direct laser and light energy at the patient’s skin. They might feel a temporary hot snap sensation. The process may take 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the target areas.
The Recovery Process
This combination treatment usually requires one to three days of downtime. For a few hours after the procedure, you may feel like your skin has a sunburn. It helps to put a cool washcloth or ice pack on the treated areas. You may also see a few bruised or red spots for up to two days, but they will lighten up after peeling in a few weeks.
During recovery, do not use moisturizing lotion or makeup. Use a gentle cleanser, and apply sunscreen with at least an SPF of 30 and zinc as a physical blocker. Reapply both of these products every two hours. It may take weeks before the results start to show.
How Much Is the Vbeam + IPL Combo?
The cost of the Vbeam + IPL combo treatment will depend on how many sessions you will need. The estimated price of the treatment will be discussed during the consultation.
