The peel session can last up to 45 minutes. During your session, we will first cleanse and prepare your skin using a special gel cleanser. This pH-balancing cleanser suits all skin types and creates a refreshing feel. This step is vital, since it removes excess oil and impurities from the skin’s surface.
Next, the Glow Peel solution is applied evenly to the skin, where it penetrates through the skin layers. A brightening accelerator is applied to the treated skin to maximize the absorption of the peel’s ingredients.
Finally, a recovery balm is applied to soothe your skin in the post-treatment phase. This is a peptide-and-antioxidant-rich moisturizer formulated specifically for recovery after the Glow Peel treatment. It relieves redness while soothing and rehabilitating your skin.
Before terminating the session, our skincare specialist will provide specific aftercare instructions to help you with the recovery process. A post-care kit will be sent home with you. This kit contains products to soothe and heal your skin. The kit contains a cleanser, a recovery balm, and a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from ultraviolet radiation.
Aftercare and Results
It takes the skin up to 7 days to heal. After the session, our skincare specialist will advise you on how to care for your skin post-treatment. You may notice some redness on your skin immediately after the session.
For the first week after the treatment, you are advised to avoid hot showers, hair dryers, saunas, and hot tubs. Refrain from heavy exercises and other strenuous physical activities. Whenever you’re going outside, apply the broad-spectrum sunscreen provided in the kit.
Within 3 to 5 days after the peel treatment, there may be some minor peeling. Patience is key; avoid picking or pulling your skin to speed up the exfoliation process. Use the skin cleanser and moisturizer provided in the post-care kit to help in the recovery process.
If possible, avoid wearing foundation for the first week after the treatment. This can highlight the flaking skin.
After the first week, you may resume your regular routine. The results from the Glow Peel are long-lasting, and it is recommended you maintain a consistent skincare routine to prolong its effects. Use a chemical exfoliant and a moisturizer with SPF.
